Today, in the news they were saying another bear has been shot dead because it was running after a vehicle in Paradise Valley.
Just last week, a woman saw his 12 year old Coolie being attacked by a bear in their porch. She went out to shoo the bear away but the bear followed her to the house. She went to the kitchen and look for something she can use against the bear. She saw a Zucchini she just harvested from her orchard. She throw the zucchini against the bear. Luckily, the bear went away. The woman was not harmed but her dog suffered a lot of wounds.
This year it seems that the bears are really getting hungry and are coming down in the valleys. There are no berries in the forest because of the early snow that came in June.
When we were hiking in Hidden lakes, we encountered two ladies going down. One was carrying a bear spray. She asked us if we have the bear spray. Ivano showed them his pistol which is a 357 caliber. They said it is not enough to kill the bears. Andreas was saying the same thing. Even if you hit the bear it can still walk 50 meters and attack you. Now Ivano is getting scared going to the bunnies with nobody around.
